FAQ
Answers to common questions about PDFGenie.
What counts as a page?
One page of the uploaded PDF. A 6-page statement uses 6 pages, even if only some pages contain transactions.
What does the warning sign next to a row mean?
PDFGenie checks every transaction against the running balance printed on the statement. A warning means the numbers don't add up for that row. Usually it's a misread amount or a row that belongs to a different date; compare it with the PDF before relying on it.
Why are dates sometimes missing the year on the PDF but present in Excel?
Many banks print dates as 05 Aug or 08/05. We infer the year from the statement period,
including statements that span December and January.
Can I convert credit card statements?
Yes. Credit card statements are tables of transactions too. Reconciliation works when the statement prints balances.
Do unused pages roll over?
No. Paid credits refresh each month on your billing anniversary.
How do I cancel?
Open Account → Manage billing to cancel or change plans. You keep your pages until the end of the billing period.
How long do you keep my files?
24 hours after a successful conversion, or 72 hours if the conversion failed so we can find out why and fix the converter. Click Delete now on the result page to delete them straight away. If you share a file with us in a problem report, we keep it for up to 90 days. Details on the privacy & security page.
